Quilting Bees!March 23, 2011 at 6:02 pm | Posted in Craftivism, Quilting Bees | 1 Comment
I’m so happy that we’ve just added five new quilting bee dates in Portland over the next three weeks – we would love to see you at one of them!!
Daniela hosted the very first one for a group of five happy quilters last night at Modern Domestic. She took some awesome photos…
They’re all in the QfQ flickr pool if you want to check them out. Everyone brought fabric and blocks home to keep working on and I can’t wait to see how they grow! Here is the very first finished QfQ block – so cheerful!
All the details are listed on the Events page, but here are the new dates. THANK YOU to Cool Cottons for jumping in to host these next few weeks!!

We’d love to partner with you to host quilting bees in your area, too – just email us and we’ll set something up and post it here!
Also – a big thank you to Mims Copeland and Peggy McMullen at The Oregonian for this lovely article about Modern Log Cabin Quilting + Quilts for Quake Survivors. Really appreciate the support and help spreading the word! We’d love to have some knitters join us – log cabin quilting is so easy and accessible and we’ll have you sewing and quilting in no time.
And of course feel free to get started at home and bring blocks or fabric strips in to one of the shops or at one of Susan’s book events (or mail them), if that’s easier for you, that would be great too.
Thank you to everyone jumping in to cut, piece, and quilt for the QfQ project, we are so grateful. See you soon!!
