Block of the Month - 018

This quilt is a delightful showcase of patchworking possibilities. The blocks were donated from Cool Cottons, and pieced at one of our many bees (yet I can’t remember!) If you have been working on this beauty – please let us know, we’d love to include you in this discription!

It’s backed with donated yardage, quilted in a simple cross pattern and finally hand bound.

Eclectic Asian - 017

This eclectic collection of typical log-cabin-blocks has been created completely with donated fabric strips and finished blocks. The blocks were pieced together and sashed  at the Sew On quilting bee in may, with a turquoise Asian jacquard fabric.

Susan machine bound the quilt using a bias tape method she explains in detail in her book. Here she is showing off the fruit of her labor at the last sewing bee at Staver Locomotive.
